Second face of "Evanescence".

Close your eyes and listen to this song! Doesnt it remind you of the illustrious Rock act "Evanescence"?

Oh yeah! Totally, right? You can also see the former Evanescence band members like Ben, Rocky and John in the video but can not spot the vocal queen "Amy Lee" anywhere. Confused? well, let me tell you then. This is a music group formed by these Evanescence guys and the singer is Carly Smithson, an American Idol season 7 entrant who finished sixth in the competition. While this band "We are the fallen" is out there making waves in the music industry, Amy Lee's Evanescence remains just intact. With some new members, Lee is all set to release the third studio album of "Evanescence" in the second half of this year.

 The question arises: Is Carly an Amy Lee wannabe!?

Smithson's voice is too much the same like Lee and We are the Fallen sounds just no different from the previous records of Evanescence. Among all this criticism, Ben Moody has this to say,"If there is some similarity in sound, it's because that genre was created by us." The debut album "Tear the world down" of WatF has that Ev's music effect but, since the members are same,the difference should not be expected. This album is hell of a phenomenal compilation with Ben Moody doing the right things at just the right time and Smithson's voice really rocks the sound instead of, what pessimists expected,ruining it. However, on the other side of the coin,Lee has announced something new, something indigestible for the sole aficionados of the Gothic metal tone of Amy, that Ev's new album will have a touch of electro-pop inspired by her favorite bands like Bjork and Portishead. Wow! This is gonna be an interesting turn. I hope it would be some electro of the darker side i.e Darker Techno or anything that suits the lead singer's voice and something that really pays Ev's fans of the long wait they have suffered! 

The idea of Evanescence and We are the fallen co-existing seems huge and wholly sensational, the competition between the two would be a hefty treat for the alternative-rock, gothic-metal music lovers. It would also be beneficial for the bands as to come out with their best of the stacks!
